ABOUT OUR CHURCH:

Gospel City Church is a growing church plant founded in 2022 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Boynton Beach is located in South Florida between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. South Florida is a community that needs Jesus, and our mission is to provide opportunities for the Lord to be glorified. Gospel City Church seeks to glorify God by cultivating a gospel-saturated community focused on teaching the whole counsel of God and on making and growing disciples. We are a non-denominational, doctrinally Reformed church.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Gospel City Church is seeking a Worship Leader. This role oversees the Music Ministry and Production Team of the church. They are responsible for all worship activities, including recruiting and developing worship leaders, both musicians and singers, and preparing worship music for all services and events. This is a part-time 10 to 15 hour-per-week salaried role, with pay being commensurate with experience. Our church staff currently works remotely throughout the week. Sunday mornings and special events are the only times onsite work is required.

Role Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Walk with the Lord - Your first priority is to seek the Lord in study, prayer, and repentance for you, your family, and the church.

• Leadership - Although there is no expectation of this role also being an Elder of the church, as a member of the staff of the church, you lead the congregation alongside the Lead Pastor, the Staff, and church Elders by providing sound doctrine and protecting the body from the influence of false teaching. Specifically, you are to shepherd, love, and guide the members of the Music Ministry and Production Team.

• Team Vision - You are responsible for setting the vision of the Music Ministry and the Production Team. This vision will support the vision and values of Gospel City Church.

• Team Building - You are to recruit and/or hold auditions for singers and musicians for the Music Ministry and recruit members of the Production Team.

• Team Growth - You are to train or facilitate the training of singers, musicians, and Production Team members. You are part of developing a culture of discipling and equipping the team to serve well.

• Rehearsals - You are responsible for organizing rehearsals and notifying worship team members before the rehearsals.

• Administrative - You are responsible for the administrative needs of the Music Ministry, including but not limited to managing the singers and musicians' schedules, and gathering or creating all items needed to facilitate the needs of the worship team (i.e., charts, tracks, etc.).

• Worship Leading - You are responsible for planning, with the aid of the pastors and the worship team, the song and musical arrangements for worship services and special events. You also lead the worship team and congregation in weekly worship services.

• Collaboration - You have a collaborative, can-do approach to your role. You will coordinate with the pastors and staff concerning the overall direction of all services and events.

• General Expectations - You will become a member of Gospel City Church; affirm our statement of faith; and affirm our bylaws

• Personal Expectations - You will pursue a growing relationship with Jesus; live a disciple-making life; and believe in the team, supporting the team with encouragement, fellowship, accountability, and prayer.

• Reporting - This role reports directly to the Lead Pastor. 

Experience and Education:

• We prefer that you have at least 3 years of full-time or part-time worship ministry experience.

• An undergraduate degree or higher in a ministry-related field of study is not required but would be beneficial.
